Weekend Football

Well Arsenal managed to win ok but the Liverpool game failed to get overs, well done for Luton for getting a replay at Anfield but after losing so many players this week they are in for a hiding I think.

So £10 there but on to the next lot of bets, the next Newcastle manager market is a rollercoaster ride for some, Harry Redknapp’s price is up and down and at present £4.2m is matched on that market with £3.9m of that matched on Harry, Alan Shearer has just announced that he would take the job and his price has come right in to 5.3 but still just £80k matched on him so far, but no bets on this for me!

So the weekends bets will be….

Chelsea v Tottenham, over 2.5 goals, £75 at odds of 1.9

Middlesbrough v Liverpool, over 2.5 goals, £75 at odds of 2.18

I’m also going for an accumulator including the top 4, so:

Arsenal to beat Birmingham
Chelsea to beat Tottenham
Liverpool to beat Middlesbrough
Man Utd to beat Newcastle

The acca price odds are 4.48, £50 stake to win £174.00

I’m off to watch Liverpool at the Boro so hopefully a good win for the reds!!

26th December

Boxing Day Betting

Hopefully everyone’s had a great christmas, I am having another christmas dinner today, I love them!

So there’s a full fixture list today, some early games kicking off, Tottenham v Fulham looks like a goal fest but with overs at 1.72 it seems a bit low, so minimal bet on that because I think it could well be overs.

Tottenham v Fulham, Over 2.5 goals, £50 at odds of 1.72

Chelsea v Aston Villa could be an interesting one, I’m swayed towards unders here but at 1.82 I wont take the risk, Chelsea will be looking for revenge after losing 2-0 to Villa earlier in the season so we could end up with a goal fest, who knows but i’m out!

West Ham v Reading could go either way, I think a draw lay will do on this.

West Ham v Reading, draw lay, £50 at odds of 3.7

Looking in the Championship i’m going to risk Colchester v Southampton over 2.5 goals, it’s about time they started banging them in a bit more and boxing day might just bring it on.

Colchester v Southampton, over 2.5goals, £50 at odds of 1.88

I’d like to have a bet on Derby v Liverpool but without knowing Rafa’s team it’s a bit difficult, but then any side he puts out should win this game, win odds of 1.32 aren’t very attractive, but over 2.5 goals at 1.82 are!

Derby v Liverpool, over 2.5 goals, £70 at odds of 1.82

And that concludes todays betting ;o)

Football Betting Blog update

It’s been a few weeks since any bets have been posted, so i’ll just update on the last bets first.

Liverpool went and lost 3-1 at Reading, so the Liverpool win bet was blown out, luckily the over 2.5 goals bet covered that and a £14 profit was had on that game.

Osasuna v Valencia finished 0-0 so a loss of £120

Ath Bilbao v Real Madrid finished 0-1 so a profit of £50 on that game.

There will be a few games to bet on boxing day and over the weekend so I will post a few bets on boxing day morning.

Have a great Christmas :)

8th December

Reading v Liverpool

The midweek correct score in the AC Milan v Celtic game came up trumps, a profit of £230, which handsomely covered the £100 loss on Saints overs, typically saints easily got overs today!

So onto todays bet, Reading v Liverpool, Liverpool starting with an atttacking lineup of Voronin, Crouch and Torres, Jack Hobbs taking Hypia’s place at the back, so the bets:

Over 2.5 goals, £100 at odds of 2.14
Liverpool to win £100 at odds of 1.59

also, some La Liga games tonight so will have some draw lay bets on

Osasuna v Valencia, draw lay £50 at odds of 3.4
Ath Bilbao v Real Madrid, draw lay att odds of 3.5

2nd December

Windy Sunday

Well our Sunday League game has been called off due to rain and wind, so at least I get to stay in the warm!

The W Bremen v Real Madrid over 2.5 goals bet came in easily, the Liverpool one would have too, but the Bremen game gave me winnings of £109.50.

So to todays games, Liverpool v Bolton, which i’d like to bet on, the odds aren’t that good for anything, a Liverpool win is at 1.35 and over 2.5 goals at 1.91, I think i’ll place a small bet on under 2.5 goals, £50 at odds of 2.08

There are some ties in the FA Cup 2nd round today too, I will have a bet on the Port Vale v Chasetown game, £100 on over 2.5 goals at odds of 1.73

Last bet, Tottenham v Birmingham, I see goals here so again on the over 2.5 goals, £100 at odds of 1.71

Congratulations to Havant & Waterlooville reaching the 3rd round of the FA Cup, I hope they draw one of the big teams away, it’ll be a great occasion for them!

3rd November

Saturdays Picks

OK the Palace v Watford game let me down, but the betfair profit stands at £498 still.

So looking at todays premiership games i’m not really sure what’s going to happen but the bets i’m going with are

Newcastle v Portsmouth, Over 2.5 goals, £70 at odds of 1.98

Wigan v Chelsea, £200 on Chelsea win at odds of 1.44

Middlesbrough v Tottenham, draw lay, £50 at odds of 3.5

That will do for today.

27th October

Reading v Newcastle

So not a good start today, Charlton v QPR ended 0-1

Next bet is over 2.5 goals in Reading v Newcastle, £100 at odds of 1.98

22nd October

Monday Betting

Right, here is today’s bet:

Newcastle v Tottenham, over 2.5 goals, £100 at odds of 1.84 to win £84.00.

There’s been quite a few goals in the last few meetings so hopefully that trend continues tonight!

7th October

Still making profit

Well the Arsenal result came in but not the Reading overs so they offset each other, Chelsea won so that adds another £273 to the profit which now stands at £423.

So far from 8 wins from 11 bets a strike rate of 73%

Next bet:

Santander vs Valladolid draw lay, £50 at odds of 3.5 (liability of £125)

6th October

A good days profit

Well Espanyol managed to win 2-1 away to Valencia, Valencia’s second defeat at home in a week after going 1-0 up.

The bank now stands at £850, a nice (fantasy) profit of £350 so far.

Now for Sundays bets, the early game is Arsenal v Sunderland, over 2.5 goals looks generous at 1.7 but I can’t see Sunderland scoring so makes it a tough choice, to lay the draw it’s at odds of 7, as I think Arsenal will win I am going to lay the draw for £50 at odds of 7 (liability of £310)

Reading v Derby over 2.5 goals, £50 at 1.95 to win £47.50

Chelsea to beat Bolton, £100 at odds of 1.73 to win £73

that’ll do for now until after the Arsenal result has come in
