Tottenham v Arsenal
A big game for Arsenal today, their chance to reduce the gap to Chelsea and fourth place to just 3 points.
Derby day, anything could happen so my bet is just:
Over 2.5 goals, £40 at odds of 2.02

The early game in the Premiership today is Stoke v Man City.
A tough one to predict, City have a few new players in the squad and Stoke may set out just to not lose, I really can’t decide which way this will go, Stoke don’t score or concede many at home and City score and concede a lot on the road, so my bets are:
Over 2.5 goals, £50 at odds of 2.06
Correct Score, 0-0, £10 at odds of 11.5
Thanks Darren Bent! If only he’d put it away and the Tottenham bet would have been perfect, now it puts the profit into a loss, boo hoo, hopefully it can be clawed back into the black with tonights merseyside derby.
I haven’t decided what to bet on just yet, i’ll have a bit of a gander at the odds later!
West Ham take on Fulham at Upton Park and the game of the day has to be Portsmouth’s visit to White Hart Lane to take on their old boss Harry Redknapp and his new side Tottenham.
West Ham v Fulham is up first, now these teams do not score alot of goals between them, Fulham’s last four away games have ended 0-0 and in their last 6 away games have scored just 2 goals and conceded 2 goals, it’s no suprise that the odds for over 2.5 goals stands at 2.42. The last time there was over 2.5 goals in a Fulham away game was August 2008 when they lost 2-1 at Hull. This game has under 2.5 goals written all over it so my only bet on this game is:
Over 2.5 goals, £30 at odds of 1.7.
The later game is Tottenham v Portsmouth, on first look it could be said nothing has improved since Harry arrived but a win today will see them go from bottom of the league to 12th! that’s how tight it is in the bottom half of the table.
I think Spurs will get their act in gear today and we should hopefully see an entertaining game, my bets:
Over 2.5 goals, £20 at odds of 2.02
Draw Lay, £40 at odds of 3.95
It’s refreshing to see at this point in the season the top 4 separated by just 3 points, even Arsenal in 5th are just 6 points off the top, it’s a hard one to call but with United at the summit you have to say they are favourites, unfortunately
OK it’s been a while since I posted on this blog so lets start again for 2009.
First game is Aston Villa v West Brom, I think Villa are going to be just a bit too strong for West Brom today, so the bets are
Aston Villa v West Brom, draw lay, £50 at odds of 4.3
Aston Villa v West Brom, Over 2.5 goals, £25 at 1.92.
Good Luck
The new season is about to start, the Championship kicks off this weekend and the Premiership next weekend.
I’ve been looking at the ‘season’ bets and have already placed a couple, I’ve bunged £20 on Southampton to win the Championship at odds of 60′s in the hope that they start well and can trade out for a bit of profit either way, the other bet is on Liverpool being top of the Premiership at the end of August, with Liverpool’s fixtures being Sunderland, Boro and Villa it’s very possible they could be top, but it’s Arsenal who have West Brom, Fulham and Newcastle who are favourites.
I’m sure i’ll start my season’s betting this weekend with the Championship games and will post up the bets before the games on Saturday.
Happy Betting!
After the great win in the Champions League against Arsenal i’m not sure what will happen today, Blackburn always seem to give Liverpool a good game, but my instincts say Liverpool will win, but as I’m a bit swayed i’ll do a little fun bet, which is:
Liverpool v Blackburn, correct score 3-1, £4 at odds of 18.0
Well a late couple of goals from Spurs ensured the draw lay came in, so just a £10 profit there.
Everton v West Ham is the evening kick off, there never seems to be many goals in these fixtures so i’m a bit wary of the bets to go for but i’ve decided on.
Everton v West Ham, Half Time Score 0-0, £40 at odds of 2.82
Everton v West Ham, Correct Score Everton 2-0, £10 at odds of 7.20
Everton v West Ham, draw lay, £50 at odds of 4.0
There are some tasty games this weekend starting with Spurs v Pompey, these games at white hart lane normally produce goals and I expect the same again today, so the first bets of the day are:
Tottenham v Portsmouth, over 2.5 goals, £40 at odds of 1.90
Tottenham v Portsmouth, draw lay, £50 at odds of 3.70
Fulham v Everton coming up today, Everton haven’t won at Fulham in the last 5 meetings there and there hasn’t been a draw between them in the last 10, I don’t expect a draw today either so the bet is:
Fulham v Everton, Draw lay, £50 at odds of 3.45
