Wigan v Hull
I think there may be goals in this game today, I’m going for:
Over 2.5 goals: £50 at 2.12 to win £56.00
I think there may be goals in this game today, I’m going for:
Over 2.5 goals: £50 at 2.12 to win £56.00
Manchester United v Manchester City, the big one this lunchtime, important for both teams, United fighting to keep up with Chelsea and City trying to consolidate the 4th place position and the Champions League place that goes with it.
City at home normally creates goals, despite the visitors being United I still think there will be goals, not a goal fest, just enough for Over 2.5 goals to come in, there will also be a winner to, so my bets are:
Over 2.5 goals: £50 at 1.85 to win £42.50
Match Odds: Draw lay £50 at 3.55 with a liability of £127.50

Well the result prediction was wrong but the over 2.5 goals and draw lay came in, a profit of £120 over all in the Tottenham v Arsenal game.
A result that effectively kills off Arsenal’s title challenge, unless Chelsea lose to Spurs and Liverpool along the way that is!
No football bets today from me, there are some Spanish games on tonight but i’ll leave the betting until Saturday lunchtime with the Manchester derby, goals galore? I hope so!
That brings the profit balance for April to £261.50.
A big game for both teams tonight, Arsenal need to win to keep their title chances on track and Spurs need to win to keep on the tail of Man City for 4th place.
I think there will be goals in this game tonight so my bets will be:
Over 2.5 goals – £100 at 1.8 to win £80
Match Odds – Draw lay £50 at 3.65 with a liability of £132.50
Correct Score – 1-3 (to Arsenal) £10 at 19.0 to win £180
Last night saw Chelsea win against Bolton but not destroy them as I predicted, so a total loss of £23 on that game
Tonight sees the ‘easy’ game for Chelsea, according to Alex Ferguson anyway, and I think he will be proven right, Chelsea to spank Bolton in this one tonight, so the obvious bet from me is:
Over 2.5 goals: £100 at 1.50 to win £50
Half Time/Full Time: Chelsea/Chelsea £50 at 1.54 to win £27
Well at least it wasn’t a loss, wins on over 2.5 goals and Chelsea winning meant a profit of £52.50 after the loss on over 2.5 goals in the Spurs v Pompey game, bringing the profit on Betfair in the April Betfair betting to £164.50 from 5 bets.
There are quite a few games in mid-week so i’ll take a look and post any bets i’ll be making.
Well almost, with 3 weeks until the Premier League kicks off and a couple until the rest of the football league kicks off I thought it was time to start looking at this again, football betting time!!
Whilst it’s not quite bbq weather it is the summer, and with summer comes pre-season friendlies, also the Scandinavian seasons are in full flow I believe.
Over the weekend I placed a few small draw lays, 100% record for the weekend, well it was only 4 bets but a winning bet is a winning bet!
What are your tips for the coming season?
Well i’ve not been very good at giving football betting tips, but i’ve never really claimed to do that, I just try and blog about what i’m betting on, and i’ve not been so good at that either
Well i’m posting another screenshot of my P&L for the last 7 days, I tend to do quite a few bets throughout the day when there are games on, so it’s the main reason I don’t post them all.
This week saw me twice not be able to lay off 3-3 in the Liverpool v Chelsea and Liverpool v Arsenal games, stupid pub and no mobile internet signal!!!
So here is my Betfair P&L screenshot for the last week
The last few bets haven’t been so good
Lets try and claw a bit back tonight with Hull taking on Spurs, both teams could do with the win to take them away from the relegation zone.
I can see a few goals in this game tonight, so the bets are:
Over 2.5 goals, £50 at odds of 2.22
Draw Lay, £50 at odds of 3.45
A big game for Arsenal today, their chance to reduce the gap to Chelsea and fourth place to just 3 points.
Derby day, anything could happen so my bet is just:
Over 2.5 goals, £40 at odds of 2.02
