Well at least it wasn’t a loss, wins on over 2.5 goals and Chelsea winning meant a profit of £52.50 after the loss on over 2.5 goals in the Spurs v Pompey game, bringing the profit on Betfair in the April Betfair betting to £164.50 from 5 bets.

There are quite a few games in mid-week so i’ll take a look and post any bets i’ll be making.

Liverpool and Fulham through to the Semi’s

That means my bet came in, as well as the over 2.5 goals in the Liverpool/Benfica game, £112.00 winnings, less commission at Betfair of course!

It’s FA CUP semi-final weekend! I’m away for the weekend so my bets will be:

Aston Villa v Chelsea
Over 2.5 goals: £50 at 1.87 to win £43.50
Match Odds: £100 on Chelsea at 1.59 to win £59.00

Tottenham v Portsmouth
Over 2.5 goals: £50 at 1.75 to win £37.50

FA Cup Semi Final

So the weekend brings the FA Cup semi-finals, Arsenal take on Chelsea and Man Utd take on Everton.

Both games are at Wembley which to me takes the shine off the whole competition, years ago the whole point of the FA Cup was the chance to play in the final at Wembley, now the FA need to make the money back on the delay of the Stadium being built it means the semi finals are played there too.

Ok to the betting, i’m going for:

Liverpool knocked out the cup

Wow, Barnsley snatch a late winner to knock Liverpool out of the cup, but at least a £75 profit on the 3pm bets!

Onto the next game, with both sides not playing at full strength I think there will be some goals, so:

FA Cup betting

So today see’s the FA Cup games again, some interesting ties today and the first of which Bristol Rovers v Southampton, currently 1-0 to Rovers with 3 minutes to go!!

I’m going to bet on a couple of the games today, the bets are:

Chelsea v Huddersfield, back Correct Score any unquoted, £75 at odds of 3.00

Coventry v West Brom, draw lay, £50 at odds of 3.65

Liverpool v Barsnley, Correct score, lay Correct score any unquoted, £100 at odds of 3.70

Sunday FA Cup games

Yesterday produced a small profit of £41.50, some great upsets in the cup yesterday so to make a profit betting was a good thing.

Today I can’t really see any upsets, Arsenal are a big price at 1.45, the kids have beaten enough premiership sides so I can’t see Burnley causing them a problem.

So, first bet is:

Burnley v Arsenal, Arsenal win, £200 at odds of 1.45

Liverpool go to Luton, where the last game produced a cracking game which Liverpool eventually won 5-3.
I can’t see Rafa risking too much on this game so I expect the team to be strong enough, the bet on this is:

Luton v Liverpool, over 2.5 goals, £100 at odds of 1.82.

That’s all the bets for today, fingers crossed!

FA Cup Third Round

Well Boxing day produced an overall loss of £91.60, luckily Liverpool grabbed a last minute winner so it wasn’t even worse!

FA Cup Third round kicks off today, I don’t really like betting on cup games as they are a bit of a lottery and alot of clubs played weakened teams for a few reasons, either they know they wont win it, think they will win it, or want to concentrate on their leagues.

I’ll have a couple of bets on though, they are:

Blackburn v Coventry, over 2.5 goals, £50 at odds of 1.83

Charlton v West Brom, over 2.5 goals, £50 at odds of 1.85

Southampton v Leicester, draw lay, £50 at odds of 3.55

There are more games tomorrow so i’ll post any bets then

Windy Sunday

Well our Sunday League game has been called off due to rain and wind, so at least I get to stay in the warm!

The W Bremen v Real Madrid over 2.5 goals bet came in easily, the Liverpool one would have too, but the Bremen game gave me winnings of £109.50.

So to todays games, Liverpool v Bolton, which i’d like to bet on, the odds aren’t that good for anything, a Liverpool win is at 1.35 and over 2.5 goals at 1.91, I think i’ll place a small bet on under 2.5 goals, £50 at odds of 2.08

There are some ties in the FA Cup 2nd round today too, I will have a bet on the Port Vale v Chasetown game, £100 on over 2.5 goals at odds of 1.73

Last bet, Tottenham v Birmingham, I see goals here so again on the over 2.5 goals, £100 at odds of 1.71

Congratulations to Havant & Waterlooville reaching the 3rd round of the FA Cup, I hope they draw one of the big teams away, it’ll be a great occasion for them!
